North Bay police say a drug dealer was arrested after fleeing during a traffic stop.

A Hamilton man was arrested on June 11 and faces numerous charges after three separate incidents in North Bay throughout May and June.

On May 27 Street Crime Unit officers saw a man driving in North Bay, despite being on two separate driving prohibition orders.

On June 2, patrol officers were called to a Lakeshore Drive parking lot around 5 a.m. for a possible impaired driver.  While officers were speaking to the man, he sped off.

Then on June 9 just after midnight, "an alert North Bay Police Service officer spotted a suspicious vehicle on Fourth Avenue West, and began following the vehicle," says a news release.

The vehicle began speeding, trying to escape police. Another officer arrived and a traffic stop was attempted. Two men jumped out and fled.  A bag was found at the scene which contained approximately $75,000 worth of illegal drugs.  A 2024 Ford Bronco was seized at that time.

The two males were not located at that time, however one of them was identified as the accused, and was arrested on June 11 on warrants for all three incidents.

The following property was seized:

  • 134.7 grams of cocaine,
  • 140.7 grams of Fentanyl
  • 133.3 grams of crystal methamphetamine

  • 135 Codeine pills
  • 1 digital scale
  • 2 Cell phones
  • Packaging Materials
  • $420 in cash
  • A 2024 Ford Bronco

The total value of the drugs seized is approximately $75, 000.
