Lots of safe places for kids this Halloween

There are lots of places hosting safe Halloween celebrations for kids

Let's face it, there have been some scary incidents in past Halloween celebrations, but more and more municipalities and clubs are making it safer for children in their communities.

Here's a brief overview of local spots.

North Bay Fire Department

All ages welcome. From 5 to 8 p.m. for the Halloween festivities. Victoria St.

Northgate Shopping Centre

4 to 6 p.m. participating stores throughout Northgate will hand out treats to kids in costume. Visit Northgate Guest Services in your costume for a chance to win a $25 Northgate gift card!

East Ferris

“Halloween at the Astorville Fire Hall”.  1229 Village Road.

5-8 p.m.Meet a firefighter. See the fire trucks.

Callander’s Safe Halloween Party

5 - 7 p.m.Callander Community Centre

Please join us for some Tricky Treats, Ghoulish Games, Freaky Fun, and More!

Children under 12 are welcome and will receive a treat bag with a donation to the Food Bank.

Freaky fun for ghost and goblins up to 12 years of age.

Burk's Falls

Burk's Falls Arena, 6 - 8 p.m.
