Petty Officer First class Josh Carson has his camera and eyes on events at HMCS Ontario this summer as the cadet correspondent staff cadet for the Cadet Training Centre, co-located at Royal Military College in Kingston.

"Carson is a cadet at 104 Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corps Brilliant in North Bay. As the cadet correspondent, he greatly enjoys being able to tell the story of HMCS Ontario from the cadet's perspective through compelling imagery and engaging social media content." says a news release.

Sea cadets attending summer training at HMCS Ontario can learn to sail and earn their CANSail levels, as well as learn to safely operate powerboats and develop seamanship skills.

This is not the first time Carson has worked as a cadet correspondent during the summer. In 2023, he covered the Northern Ontario Cadet Activity Program held in North Bay.

“I just graduated from high school and after taking a year off, intend to pursue film studies, possibly at Canadore,” Josh said.
