West Nipissing police took a lot of drugs off the streets of Sturgeon Falls in the early hours of Saturday.
In a news release, police say they executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant at a Third Street residence.
During a search of the residence, police found and seized:
- in excess of 200 grams of suspected cocaine,
- a large amount of Canadian currency,
- a digital scale,
- telephones and
- packaging materials.
The potential street value of the drugs is estimated to be $20,000.
Marcel Serre, 63, of Sturgeon Falls now faces charges of:
- Possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking,
- possession of a controlled substance and
- possession of property obtained by crime.
Tanya Larcher, 39 of Sturgeon Falls faces one charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Both accused are scheduled to appear in court in December.
