Update 8:40 a.m. Friday: Police say a 17-year-old male was charged with one count of careless driving in that incident. No injuries were reported.

A single-car accident by East Side Marios on Lakeshore Drive has closed all four lanes of the roadway.
The accident happened just after 7 p.m. A southbound sedan slammed into the pole, snapping it.
Lakeshore curves slightly at that point, and there is a set of lights at the Mulligan St. intersection. The passenger side took the brunt of the blow as the car stopped about 20 feet past the post.
Lakeshore was wet at the time, as light showers swept through the area, but it was still daylight at the time. The vehicle was leaking fluid, but it was being contained by absorption pellets,
Fire and police are presently on site and traffic is being detoured along side streets,
