Jays and Senators tickets up for grabs at Red Ribbon Auction

The AIDS Committee of North Bay and Area (ACNBA) is just days away from the annual Wingate Charities, Results Media Red Ribbon Auction and the planning committee says there are a limited number of tickets still available.

The annual fundraiser, that benefits those in the community infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, is set for the Elks’ Lodge, Saturday February 10th, starting at 7:30 p.m.

Auction items include artwork, sports memorabilia and tickets, spa passes, hotel stays, services and more.

For the Art lover they can bid on over 20 pieces designed by local artists including glassworks, paintings and ceramics will be up for auction.

For the Sports fan, Ottawa Senators tickets, autographed Todd Bertuzzi and Alex Auld Florida Panthers jerseys, a Skyhawks jersey with playoff tickets, a certificate for two tickets to any Jays tickets this year, and weekend ski passes at both Laurentian and Nordic ski clubs will be auctioned off.

The committee has also secured professional services for auction that include: free ‘Will’ service for two courtesy Roger Bowness, Massages, free day of ice fishing from Rob Hyatt Charters, morning show with Mitch and Nancy, Mayor for a Day (spend the day with Mayor Fedeli for the little ones), a Tour of the Legislature at Queen’s Park with MPP Monique Smith followed by lunch in the legislature cafeteria. New and the highlight of the professional services auction this is a half day’s spring yard clean up by the ACNBA staff.

The committee has also revived the Diamond Drink event, where one of 100 drinks will have a $400 diamond attached to it, courtesy of Whittman Jewellers.

Tickets are $15, and are available at the ACNBA office at 269 Main Street West, Suite 201.

The night will also feature good company, appetizers, and a chocolate fountain. Doors open at the Elks' club Saturday at 6:30 p.m. with the first round of auction items set to go at 7:30 p.m.
