I ask Why - It’s not Art!

As many of our locals, I enjoy spending time walking, relaxing and eating at our communities waterfront, however again I was disappointed and discouraged in finding Vandals have stroke again ... the Kiwanis Band Shelter that volunteers, dedicated members and community leaders worked so hard to raise the funds so they could provide the community with a place to enjoy and showcase bands with pride in a beautiful facility and location, has been vandalized again with graffiti.

Communities in Blooms is not just about the flowers and the trees, its about the communities attention to details, respecting our surroundings, respecting buildings ... keeping things clean and tidy ... making a positive impression about where we live and showing visitors that we care about our community ...after 5 years I can see that many have missed this message.

To the vandals, if you are bored why not volunteer and use your energy in a way to better our community ... I am sure that you would be offended if someone took something that you owned and damaged it or destroyed it.... It you want to be a artist ... please find another media to use .. damaging another artistic structure is just ugly.
