The Ministry of Transportation says that Highway 524 will be fully closed at Commanda Creek Bridge, located between Weller Road and Commanda Lake Road in the Carr/Farley’s Corners area. The bridge will remain closed until the replacement bridge currently under construction can be opened to the public in approximately four weeks.
This closure is being undertaken proactively to ensure the safety of the travelling public. During this closure, passage of vehicles will not be permitted.
"We apologize for the inconvenience and urge motorists to schedule their travel to minimize any delays," says an MTO release. "Motorists are reminded to obey and follow all traffic signage for the safety of both workers and drivers."
