Officials with the Heritage Railway and Carousel Company say their large carousel will be up and running just in time for the long weekend.

"It is always great to be able to share good news," the organization posted on social media.

"Our large carousel has been down for just over two weeks and we were told not to expect it back running until the middle of August."

Officials at the local tourist attraction encourage out-of-town visitors to sign the guest book on the long weekend.

"We have a small gift for out-of-town or out-of-country visitors," they stated.

"We looking forward to seeing you."

The miniature railway got its start in North Bay back in 1994 and the Heritage and Winter Wonderland carousels opened in 2005.

For visitors, the Heritage Railway and Carousel Company is located off Memorial Drive on North Bay's waterfront near downtown North Bay.
