It appears that Skwirl not only got a peanut, but thanks to his Northern friends he is set for the winter.

Derek Forgie had a successful outcome with his "Yo-gah" video submission for the CBC contest 'Exposure.'

Derek sent the following note to BayToday.

Kate,

I have a big thank you and the fine folks in North Bay. The Northern Ontario boost was very obvious and is likely the biggest reason why we won.

We had over 4000 views and an unknown amount of votes in the last few hours of voting. Between you and Kenny Brewster, it was a lock.

I'm not sure if I could get a formal thank you in BayToday but man, would that be great.

We now have a $25,000 development deal from CBC. Largely thanks to Northern Ontario. I'm glad I wore my North Bay football shirt in the video. How fitting.

If you want to see the 5 minute final episode, here it is:

Thanks again Kate.

Former North Bay celebrity Derek "Skwirl" Forgie has a short clip that has made it to the finals of CBC’s Exposure.

Skwirl’s video called ‘Yo Gah!’ is absolutely hilarious and if he and his creative partner Kirby take first place they win $25,000 development deal from CBC.

You can help by visiting the following link and casting your vote for ‘Yo Gah’
