On April 7, Temiskaming Detachment OPP were called to a break and enter in Savard Township.
The crime would have occurred sometime between August 2016 and April 2017.
The investigation revealed that a gun safe that was on the property, had been pried open and four firearms were taken:
- LEE-ENFIELD, No 1 Mark 3, bolt action rifle, brown and black, serial #12991, .303 caliber,
- LEE-ENFIELD, No 4 Mark 4, bolt action rifle, brown and black, serial #15764, .303 caliber
- WINCHESTER, 94, lever action rifle, brown and black, serial #3419568, 30-30 caliber,
- RUGER, 10/22 Carbine, semi-automatic rifle, brown and black, serial #23492778, .22LR caliber,
