Gold and silver bars stolen

Police are investigating a theft that occurred between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Monday May 29th.

Someone broke into a home on Decaire Road in North Bay and stole gold and silver bars and coins from two safes. The safes were later found in the backyard. 

No other details were provided.

Meanwhile another thief stole money from a Cassells St. business yesterday, then escaped on a bicycle.

It happened about 9:30 p.m. yesterday. A man broke into the business and stole money from a cash drawer.

The business owner saw the man flee on a bicycle. 

The thief is described as:

  • a Caucasian male;
  • approximately 5’-6” tall and 140 lbs;
  • with a clean-shaven face;
  • wearing white gloves, a white and grey hoodie, black/blue jacket;
  • riding a blue mountain bike; and
  • carrying a reusable grocery bag.
