Freddy Vette and the Flames will be appearing in North Bay for two shows, Sept. 2 and 3 and the West Ferris Arena.

The act will be one of two to perform those evenings. Jeff Young and the Muskoka Roads are also on the bill.

Tickets are $15 before Aug. 7 and $20 after, and proceeds from the show go toward the children's treatment centre and toward community mental health.

Dave Georgei, who's bringing the groups in, says the shows are going to be incredible.

He refers to a quote from his friend Diane Haggerty, who saw Freddy Vette and the Flames perform a show in Collingwood in front of 15,000 people.

"It was something else. Everybody was going crazy, crowded in front of the stage, singing, dancing, clapping, screaming," Haggerty said in an e-mail forwarded to BayToday.ca.

"I gotta say that it was one heck of a show, and I see them perform all the time. There was a couple at the show from North Bay and my merchandise girl told them about your event so I imagine they will be purchasing tickets after what they saw!

Jeff Young and the Muskoka Roads band is a 70's classic rock band and has been playing shows for 24 years. Jeff Young joined the band three years ago and at 21 is an accomplished keyboardist.

The band has a standing engagement annually at the Bala Cranberry Festaival each thanksgiving and has sold out the event for the last 4 years. Jeff has been winning local talent contests in the Muskoka area against adult competition since he was 8 years old.

This is an dynamic upbeat band that will compliment Freddy Vette and the Flames with another era of rock & Roll.
