Firefighters respond quickly to shed fire

Damage is estimated at $2,000 to $3,000

Firefighters quickly put out a fire in a camouflage shed located on the driveway of a home on Justin Street tonight.

The call came in around 5:30 p.m. Firefighters say the home owner was alerted of the fire by a neighbour, then the home owner called 9-1-1.

Once fire crews arrived, they were able to douse the fire within a few minutes and kept the shed fire from spreading to the nearby home.

No one was injured in the fire but some outdoor equipment including a snowblower were damaged.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined.  Damage is estimated around $2,000 to $3,000.

A pair of snowmobiles further up the driveway were not damaged.
