It’s best to avoid Main Street this Monday, Mattawa.

A Hallmark production is shooting scenes for “Uphill at Christmas,” and the cast and crew are filming on Main Street, Monday morning. They will be working from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The production company, in a letter to council, noted the crew will probably begin setting up around 6 a.m. and plan to film between the Madadjiwan Cultural Centre and the bridge. Crew trucks will be parked at the back end of the Giant Tiger parking lot, and the crew will be reserving parking spots near Budsmoke and the Cultural Centre with pylons on Sunday evening.

The town asked residents to “Please exercise patience during this time as you attempt to access services during the shoot.”
