The first Ferris Fun Day was such a blast, organizers were eager to bring it back for a second go. The event promotes the Ferris area and the over 70 businesses that call Ferris home.

The event takes place on Saturday, July 13, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be food, prizes, shows, an Open Gym, and plenty more for all ages.

These events occur throughout the Lakeshore Drive area and include an opening ceremony and charity barbecue at Jeff and Tanis' No Frills. The North Bay Police Services will also be there to promote its Kid Bike Safety program. Also, the North Bay Food Bank is hosting a food drive at the location.

See: Ferris Fun Day a success, other events planned

Field of Dreams Food Truck at 581 Lakeshore Drive is taking part and has invited an Elvis impersonator to help celebrate the day. They’re also adding a $1 hot dog to the menu. Ferris Family Martial Arts is hosting Strong Man events, and Gymtrix gymnastics and trampoline centre is hosting an Open Gym Day.

Many businesses within West Ferris are taking part in the Fun Day. Some are offering in-store draws, face painting, samples, and live music. Each participant offers something different, so be sure to visit the Ferris Fun Day website for the complete lineup.

Organizers also urge you to download a Ferris Fun Day Passport while you’re on the website. You can get your passport stamped at each event’s location, and if you collect four stamps, you can return the passport to No Frills, Laporte’s Nursery, Quac Mexi Grill or Dinner is Served to be entered into a prize draw.
