Prepare for family fun, Callander, because a free family skate is planned for Family Day / File

Love pancakes? Skating with the family? If even one of these events tickles your fancy, then Callander is the place to be this Family Day, Monday, Feb. 17.

Indeed, once again, the municipality is teaming up with One Kid’s Place to host a Family Day breakfast, and everyone is welcome to attend. The griddle will be cooking at the Community Centre at 1984 Swale Street, and the syrup will flow from 8:30 to 11 a.m.

Breakfast will be set up in the large room of the Community Centre, so bring the entire family. Plenty of room for the cousins. The pancakes are going for $5 per plate.

Once you’ve had your fill of flapjacks, the good times continue. Staff from the Callander Museum will be getting in on the scene, and along with folks from One Kids Place, will be hosting some activities for the kids.

These take place within the Community Centre as well.

And you know the Bill Barber Rink will beckon, luring eager skaters to its icy realm. The town has you covered, as free family skating will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Plenty of time to work off that third plate of pancakes.
