The Ontario Provincial Police report the driver of a vehicle that collided with a light standard on Highway 17 in North Bay on Tuesday suffered minor injuries after it caught fire.
On November 14, just after 2 p.m. members of the North Bay Detachment of the OPP, North Bay Fire and Emergency Services and District of Nipissing Paramedic Services attended the scene of a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 in North Bay.
The driver was transported to the hospital by the District of Nipissing Paramedic Services. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, the driver, a 22-year-old from North Bay was charged with careless driving.
