A section of Four Mile Lake Road will be temporarily closed starting at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 4 until 5 p.m. on Oct. 5 while improvements are underway at the Ontario Northland Rail crossing.
This summer BayToday published a letter complaining about the condition of the crossing.
"I do not think anything has been done to improve it in years, to the point it is dangerous on two wheels" David Colquhoun said. "You have to almost come to a complete stop, but really can't do that."

During this period, the road will be fully closed from its intersection with Hwy #63 to 3200 Four Mile Lake Road. All vehicles travelling from 3200 Four Mile Lake Road West, including Stanely's Road, should use the alternative route via Carmichael Drive.
Motorists are encouraged to plan their routes accordingly, allowing for additional travel time and using the provided detour.
