A 37-year-old North Bay man faces numerous charges after the North Bay Police Service received a complaint from a female victim. The mans was arrested Wednesday by constables Jeff Warner and Bill Gainforth. Det. Cst.
A 37-year-old North Bay man faces numerous charges after the North Bay Police Service received a complaint from a female victim.

The mans was arrested Wednesday by constables Jeff Warner and Bill Gainforth.

Det. Cst. Greg McClenaghan, of the Investigative Section, is investigating allegations that a man attended a residence in North Bay on Dec. 10, broke in, and then assaulted a female known to him. The following day, police allege, this same man then returned and forced his way into the same residence, but was evicted by another male.

Later on Dec. 28 it is further alleged that this same man assaulted this same previous female victim by striking her with a ceramic mug.

Richard McGruthers, of Fraser Street, is charged with break and enter and committing assault, mischief, assault with a weapon, and forcible entry. He was held for a bail hearing.
