If Colton Point looked cool as a cucumber in last night's World Junior game against Slovakia last night...expect more of the same as the tournament continues.

"For Colton, it's one of his skillsets," his dad Gary told BayToday Wednesday morning. "He knows how to approach games. He's very calm and it seems he has the ability to keep that nervousness out. That's been his forte, wherever he's played they've noticed it. He just seems to get in a zone and play his game and don't let nerves get to him."
Gary says his wife Colleen was more nervous than Colton before the game.
The parents met up with the players this morning for brunch and Gary says his son is pleased with his performance.
"He's feeling great obviously and he feels its great to start out with a shutout. It was a good opportunity for him and he's excited about it."
The family is hoping their son gets other opportunities to start and with four games in five nights, that's a real possibility.
"He (Coach Ducharme) seemed to be impressed with what Colton has done. He stopped the puck and played steady so I think he'll probably have some other opportunity, not sure, but that's what we're hoping."
Colton plays in an American college league for Colgate, and Gary says the speed of the game at the tournament has impressed Colton.
"He plays in a university league and he usually plays with older people than OHL and so I think he'd say it's a fast game and you're playing with the best players, Canada, so the play is at the level he's used to.
"I think back when he started with hockey and where he is right now. It's surreal but it's very exciting for us. We're very proud of him."
Canada plays Team USA tomorrow afternoon in an outdoor game and Denmark on Saturday.
