City pocketed $400,362 for hosting casino in last three months

North Bay collects money each quarter for hosting Cascades Casino.

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) has made a first quarter (April 1 – June 30) payment totaling $400,362 to the City of North Bay for hosting Cascades Casino on Pinewood Park Drive..

Since the gaming site opened in March 2022, North Bay has received $3,509,112.

These payments to host communities are based on a formula in the Municipality Contribution Agreement that is consistently applied across all land-based casino sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site. 

Since 1994, host communities have received more than $2.1 billion in non-tax gaming revenue.
