There are now three bike lockers at the Transit Terminal and another two coming at Shabogesic Beach.

The City of North Bay is announcing the installation of three Cycle Sitters — bike lockers — at the Transit Terminal on Oak Street East, located at the rear of the building.

These lockers are now available for public use, providing secure, temporary storage for cyclists. Please note that users must bring their own locks.

Additionally, two more bike lockers will be installed at Shabogesic Beach in the coming weeks. Once the installations are complete, all five bike lockers will be wrapped in public art, thanks to a collaboration between the North Bay Public Art Advisory Committee, Creative Industries, and local artists. Stay tuned for the unveiling of these artist-designed bike lockers.

The City says these new bike lockers, coupled with bike racks on transit buses, make it easier than ever for residents and visitors to enjoy the Downtown Waterfront and surrounding areas. Cyclists can now conveniently secure their bikes while exploring local shops, dining, or spending the day at the beach, knowing their
bicycles are safely stored.
