CIBC robber gets five years in prison

The man who, with a female accomplice, robbed the CIBC bank on Main St. in 2018 has been sentenced to five years in jail.

Andrew Lamore., 36, was arrested 10 weeks later in Peterborough Country by the OPP ROPE Squad (Provincial Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement). Lamore also faces numerous other criminal charges from other jurisdictions, including Napanee and Brighton 

Police credited members of the public for identifying the suspects after security video was released.

The couple escaped with about $7,000 in cash.

Lamore pleaded guilty in Superior Court to armed robbery and one count of possession of property obtained by a criminal offence.
