The Capitol Centre debuted the 2023-24 line-up of events for both the WKP Kennedy Gallery and the Betty Speers Theatre with a special event.

In addition to being the first to see the new lineup, guests were treated to complimentary bubbly and two surprise performances on Thursday evening from Brendan McCleod and Johannes Linstead.

McCleod and the rest of Canadian folk/roots band The Fugitives will be presenting their theatre piece, Ridge, at the Capitol Centre on November 7, and Linstead, the
legendary Latin guitarist will be bringing his band to the Capitol Centre on November 10.

The after-party in the WKP Kennedy Gallery featured cake, courtesy of Chez Jean-Marc Bakery, and refreshments courtesy of Twiggs.

Capitol Centre members were able to start purchasing tickets as soon as the presentations ended while members of the public must wait until June 2 at noon.

As a lead-up to the anticipated 2023-24 Season presentations, Capitol Centre Executive Director Katina Connolly took a few moments to highlight the many successes of the 2022-23 Season, which was the first full post-pandemic season for the arts centre. Between September 2022 and April 2023, 17,950 patrons attended “Capitol Centre Presents” shows (33 performances and 12 film screenings) with six sold-out shows, and 4,095 patrons visited the gallery.
