Caisse Populaire handed over a big cheque for $3600 to the North Bay Food Bank today.
The money was raised through sponsorship of the Local Caisse Calendar.
The new calendar was released this morning after the cheque presentation at the location on Cassells Street in North Bay.
“We have had such overwhelming support from our region’s sponsors once again this year,” said executive assistant Crissy Green in a release.
We were fortunate to be able to fill each of the required sections of the calendar in less than two days. It’s so exciting to see that everyone is always so eager for the calendars to come out. This has certainly become a tradition that we plan on continuing for many years to come.”
As per tradition, the calendars will remain a free giveaway to the patrons of Caisse populaire, while still including the beautiful natural scenery provided by North Bay’s own local artists.
Part of the annual event involves a public call for submissions, encouraging new and emerging artists to provide their work for a chance to be included in what is quickly becoming a well known item.
This year’s free calendar continues to showcase a variety of beautiful regional landscapes including: North Bay’s beautiful waterfront shoreline, Duchesnay Falls, Lake Nipissing and a variety of others. ‘Still life’ and seasonal images are also featured in several of this year’s chosen photographs.
