Break in at vacant house results in drug charges

Police have arrested and charged four people after a report of a break-and-enter at a vacant residence on Highway 539, West Nipissing

On August 12 at 2 p.m., Nipissing West OPP responded to a report of a break and enter and found four people inside whom they arrested. A search of one person located drugs suspected to be methamphetamine and opioids.

Nicole Wemigwans, 58, Justyn Larente, 43, Robert Bouffard, 62, and Annette McKeen, 64, all from West Nipissing, are charged with unlawfully in a dwelling house.

McKeen was additionally charged with three counts of possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

All four were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on September 5 in North Bay.
