The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation held a massive garage sale that raised about $10,000 that will bo to the Nipissing Transition house.

Hundreds of people attended the event termed #GarageSale4Shelter which took plae on Saturday.

“Hundreds of people attended, Realtors helped, corporate sponsors sponsored, businesses donated and the weather held off,” stated organizer Steve Kotan on Facebook.

“And best of all, the people of North Bay came out and made it all worth while. All funds will be donated to The Nipissing Transition House, a local shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence. We at Royal LePage North Bay Real Estate Services, Brokerage would like to thank everyone of you.”

This isn’t the first time Kotan has been involved in raising money for the local Transition House.

Last year he spearheaded a fundraiser that raised more than $5,000 as he traveled to the Andes in South America at part of Royal LePage’s Shelter Foundation program.
