A group of the new-born puppies that were abandoned back in August were re-united recently.

A total of 11 puppies, that were estimated to be only a day old at the time, were found in North Bay and delivered by a good samaritan to the North Bay & District Humane Society on August 19.

After more than two months of care at the local humane society, all the puppies were successfully adopted out in late October.

The North Bay & District Humane Society received an update from one adopted family who says a group of them was re-united.

"Two weeks ago, four of these smart, sweet boys played together for a few hours and they loved every minute of it," stated Kayla, a member of one of the adopting families in the message to the Humane Society.

"Their temperaments are all similar: loving, playful and gentle. We are all so lucky to have these boys in our lives. I can’t even begin to explain the gratitude I feel to the Humane Society and all your staff for giving these amazing pups a chance to live and love life. Thank you, thank you, thank you."

The North Bay & District Humane Society put hours and hours of work taking care of the pups before they were adopted out. That included finding foster families who had nursing female dogs.

"We love seeing pups from the same litter playing together," stated the North Bay & District Humane Society on its Facebook page.

"Just imagine, when they came to us, they were so tiny and fragile and now, they're strong, handsome boys."

The Humane Society also is trying to organize a bigger puppy birthday party reunion with all the pups and owners next August.
