To the editor:
The other day, while watching the evening news, a clip from the House of Commons was shown. The first thing that my husband and I noticed was all the vacant seats.
This made me curious: how many days do our elected representatives actually have to show up for work: Not many.
I decided to look it up, and these are the answers.
The House of Commons is scheduled to sit 122 days in 2024.
More shocking, the provincial legislature is scheduled for, now get this, 75 days in 2024.
Our tax dollars hard at work?
