LETTER: Surprise $200 cheque to deceased husband

To the editor:

I was quite surprised today to see a cheque for $200.00 from the Doug Ford Conservatives made payable to my husband who was deceased on September 30, 2024.

Obviously, due diligence was not done to verify that cheques weren't being sent to deceased taxpayers.

Now I will do my due diligence and return the cheque to the government with some hope that they won't try to recover it in the future because they did not track the return of the cheque.
