To the editor:
The deputy mayor being on the police board is a conflict of interest! She should not be allowed to do so as she could be biased towards the police chief.
The majority of the taxpayers are not satisfied with the North Bay police. Most would prefer that city councillors and the mayor would get a quote from the OPP.
We require a police force that at the least has an officer that is available to answer a call, and that the officers know the laws as taught at the police academy.
That is what is required in order to protect the citizens of North Bay when they call the police.
