STOLEN TRAILER

A fully loaded trailer was stolen from the compound of Pro North Equipment on Birches Rd. overnight on the 22nd of Feb.

This trailer is described as 48’ in length with 4 axles and is further described as a white van style trailer with Pro North decals on either side and Ont. plate # A1660A.

This trailer was loaded with 80,000 lbs of zinc plates.

The entire loss was valued at over $100,000.

SELF-DEFENSE

The North Bay Police Service would like to advise our media friends that it will be holding an information seminar on Self-Defense For Women this evening at 7 PM at the lower residence of Canadore College for female students.

This is not open to the public but is accessible to our media friends.

This session will include a ½ hour presentation by myself on issues of women’s safety and then the remainder of the time will be spent teaching the women various self-defense tactics by Cst. Roger Drolet and Cst. Mark McLeod of our Training Section.

The exact building location is at the foot of College Dr. and Gormanville Rd. The building itself is the one with Canadore College on it. Here a room will be available for our officers to give their demonstrations. My Community Programs van will be parked outside. I will have my cell phone on at 499-7799.
