The North Bay Police Service has arrested and charged two North Bay men with break and enter, drug possession and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
On the afternoon of November 25, officers responded to reports of a break-in at a house on Thelma Avenue, in the Ferris area of the City. Upon arrival, police found two men in the area and arrested them. A search of the accused revealed a weapon and illegal drugs.
Police seized:
- 15 grams of Fentanyl
- 3 grams of crystal methamphetamine
- A knife
- An undisclosed amount of cash
The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $4,000.
Police say the victim and accused are known to one another.
Garrith Commanda, 38, is charged with:
- Break, enter a place with intent to commit an indictable offence
- Disguise with intent
- Possession of a Schedule I substance
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking
- Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000
- Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
- Two counts of failure to comply with release order
Tyler Charles Loucks 32, is charged with:
- Break, enter a place with intent to commit an indictable offence
- Disguise with intent
Both accused were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
