CALLS LAND MAN IN JAIL
On the 30th of June a man called the Emergency 911 dispatcher on two separate occasions, and threatened to blow up the houses of two local lawyers as well as causing them death.
Cst. Penny Kerr of the North Bay Police Service began her investigation and, with the assistance of Cst. Jeff Warner, attended a business on Algonquin Avenue during the afternoon of Aug. 23. At this time they effected an arrest in relation to these incidents.
Timothy TUFFY, 57, of Algonquin Avenue, is charged with two counts of conveying a false message, and four counts of threatening. He remains in custody for a bail hearing.
MORE BROKEN WINDOWS
Shortly before 1 a.m. on Aug. 22, six more windows were broken at Algonquin Secondary School on Algonquin Avenue. Once again these windows were broken with railway material located at the north end of the school. There had been 26 windows broken the night before.
