Thief breaks plate glass window to enter cannabis store

The man broke an exterior glass window to gain entry to the store, at which point a witness contacted police

A Burk's Falls man was arrested by police after a break-in at a Main Street cannabis store. 

At approximately 7:00 a.m. on January 25, a man entered a cannabis store on Main Street East by breaking an exterior glass window.

A witness saw the break-in and called police.

The thief stole several cannabis products before fleeing, but police found him a short time later and he was arrested and charged. The total cost of the stolen products and damage to the business is approximately $1,400.

Matthew John Stanova, 34, of Burks Falls, is charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence.

Stanova was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.
