6 IMPAIRED DRIVERS OVER WEEKEND

A total of 6 impaired drivers were stopped and charged over this past weekend by officers of the North Bay Police Service. Once of which refused to stop for police and was eventually stopped at a dead end of Gertrude St. Kris BURTON 29 years old of 5th St. in Mattawa is charged with Flight From Police, Imapired Driving, Drive with Over 80 Milligrams and Take Auto Without Owner’s Consent. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

POSSESSION OF STOLEN AUTO

On the 19th of Feb. during the early morning hours, officers of the North Bay Police Service stopped a vehicle within the city. A check of the ownership proved that the vehicle had been taken without the owner’s consent.

Scott GUINDON 24 years old of Gorman St. is charged with Possession of Stolen Property and Theft Over. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

MAN GETS ATTACKED

On the 17th of Feb. during the afternoon hours a man attacked another man known to him, by allegedly striking him in the head with a wine bottle and then further punching him about the face several times.

The next day Cst. Gerry Martin and Scott Berry arrested a man in relation to this incident.

Eric WILSON 30 years old of Burns St. is charged with Assault Bodily Harm and Breach of Probation. He is to appear in court on the 19th of Feb.

FAIL TO REMAIN & RESIST ARREST

On the 18th of Feb. during the afternoon hours it is alleged that a vehicle struck another vehicle within a North Bay parking lot and left the scene.

Some 15 minutes later Cst. Matt Parker and Bruce Whitehead of this Service spotted the alleged vehicle some distance away. This female driver then allegedly began fighting with the officers when being arrested.

Tanya TOWNSON 27 years old of Airport Rd. is charged with Fail To Remain and Cause Disturbance as well as Resist Arrest. She is to attend court on the 27th of March.

PERSISTENT PHONE CALLS

On the 17th of Feb. it is alleged that a man continuously called a woman by telephone and further that this man threatened to kill the person receiving the calls.

Cst. Jeff Warner and Kailey Bradley of this Service attended a North Bay residence and arrested a man in relation to this incident.

Paul MYERS 40 years old of Highway 11 North is charged with Harassing Phone Calls and Threatening. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.

SERIOUS FACIAL INJURIES

On the 18th of Feb. during the early morning hours Cst. Helene Boissonneault and Kailey Bradley of this Service attended the North Bay General Hospital in regards to a man having suffered serious injuries to his face. An investigation revealed that the man had been assaulted by two other men within the city.

The officers attended a local residence and arrested two men in relation to this incident.

Andre Shawn LANDRY 19 years old of Hutcheson Av. is charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is to attend court on the 17th of April. Mason TRUSWELL 18 years old of Lake St. is charged with Aggravated Assault. He is also to attend court on the 17th of April.

PROWLING THROUGH VEHICLES

On the 17th of Feb. during the early morning hours Cst. Anthony Corrente and Barry MacIntosh of this Service received a call to attend the area of Van Horne Cr. in relation to people going through vehicles.

The officers attended and ended up arresting two males. The males began fighting with the officers and kicking one of them

Tyler BROWN 18 years old Nelson St. is charged with Trespass By night, Assault With Intent to Resist and Possession of Property Obtained By Crime and is to appear in court on the 10th of April. Matthew DICKSON 19 years old of Massey Dr. is charged with Trespass By night and Assault With Intent to Resist Arrest. He is to attend court on the 3rd of April.

MAN ASSAULTS 2

On the 16th of Feb. during the evening hours it is alleged that a man attacked two other males within a residence in North Bay.

Cst. Kris Marshall of this Service attended a North Bay residence and arrested a male in relation to this incident.

Danny STEAD 18 years old of Princess St. E. is charged with 2 counts of Assault With a Weapon, 2 counts of Threatening and Breach of Probation. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.
