WOMAN STRIKES MAN
On Aug. 21 shortly after midnight, an argument ensued within a residence in North Bay. A woman broke a beer bottle over the head of a man known to her.
He required medical attention and received several cuts to the head area. Cst. Henri O'Neill and Paul Brewer of this Service arrived and arrested the woman.
Joanne Arlene MONTGOMERY, 43, of McKeown Avenue, is charged with Assault With a Weapon. She remained in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
STOLEN VEHICLES
Overnight Aug. 20 thieves stole a 1993 Dodge Spirit from the parking lot at 340 Lakeshore Drive.
This vehicle has four doors, is beige in colour and has Ontario plate # 694 WPY.
During daylight Aug. 22, a 1997 Pontiac Grand Am was stolen from the 100 block of Main Street W. in North Bay. This vehicle is white in colour and has Ont. lic. # APJN 197.
FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLD CHARGED
Shortly after 1 A M on Aug. 22 a 15-year-old boy stole his mother's rented $35,000. Ford Escape and drove through several yards, causing $10,000. in damage. The vehicle was totalled and the boy fled, only to be
arrested by constables Steve Taylor and Aaron Northrup, of the North Bay Police Service, a short time later.
He is charged with taking an auto without the owner's consent, breach of probation and four counts of mischief. He was kept in custody for a bail hearing.
NUMEROUS BROKEN WINDOWS
Overnight Aug. 22 vandals broke 23 windows at Algonquin Secondary School by throwing railway spikes. The windows were facing the north side.
BREAK AND ENTER
Overnight on Aug. 20 thieves cut the locks off a rear shed at Widdifield Secondary School. Nothing appears to be taken. They also vandalized a shop vehicle.
