within the city re. a dispute.

The officers arrived and observed that a
woman had breached a condition of a recognizance. She was arrested, however, kicked the female officer several times and on the way to the cruiser, and kicked the male officer as well.

Miranda May DEVEAU, 25, of Wickstead Avenue, is charged with breach of recognizance, breach of probation and two counts of assaulting police.

She remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

STOLEN CREDIT CARD USED EIGHT TIMES
On May 9 while a customer was paying his gas bill at a local service station, a thief entered his vehicle and stole a credit card.

This thief then attended at least eight different areas of the city and purchased items with this credit card.

On tAug. 15 during the early morning hours, Cst. Jason Long, of the North Bay Police Service, made an arrest in relation to these incidents.

Peter Douglas EARLE, 38, of Sixth Avenue W., is charged with theft under and eight counts of use of a stolen credit card. He is to attend court on Oct. 12.

Note: the North Bay Police Service would like to remind citizens to keep items such as wallets or credit cards in a safe place or to secure their vehicles at all times. A thief of opportunity only needs a few seconds to make off with your property.

BROTHER LOSES TEMPER
On Aug. 13 at approximately 10 AM a 16-year-old male lost his temper with his sister and pushed her into a wall and then threatened to kill her.

He punched holes in the wall before leaving. When he returned to the residence constables Peter Brunette and Ken Ayres of the North Bay Police Service, were called and arrested him.

He is charged with mischief, assault and threatening. He remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

THREATENS TO BURN RESIDENCE
On Aug. 13 a party was being held within a residence in North Bay.

Constables Helen Kent and Mark McLeod of the North Bay Police Service attended in order to evict
an unwanted guest. As this was being done, this unwanted guest threatened to burn the residence down.

Ashley PAQUETTE, 24, of Fraser Street, is charged with
threatening. He also remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing.

DRUG SELLER LIES ABOUT ROBBERY
On Aug. 14, a 15-year-old boy reported to the North Bay Police Service that he was robbed of $100.

He further supplied the investigating officers with the name of the youth who robbed him. Approximately ½ hour after this complaint, constables Mike Hunter and Helen Kent located this youth as well as two others.
They were then arrested. A 17-year-old male was found in possession of carrying a concealed knife and having hash and cocaine. A 16-year-old was charged with possession and trafficking in a controlled substance (ecstasy).

In the police investigation it was found that the robbery complainant in fact had given the $100 for the purchase of the drug ecstasy. He had been waiting for the drugs but the seller had not yet gotten there and the 15-year old feared being ripped off and then complained to police.

Consequently the 15-year-old boy was charged with public mischief and held for a bail hearing.

BREAK AND ENTERS
Overnight Aug. 14 thieves entered a motel unit in the 300 block of Lakeshore Drive. Once inside they stole some cash, cigarettes and medication. Entry was gained through an insecure window.

On Aug. 15 between 1 and 2 PM thieves entered a dwelling in the 1300 block of McKeown Avenue via the insecure back door. Once inside, they stole several CDs and a CD player.
