The theft of donations from a poppy box in Kirkland Lake has resulted in charges being laid against a teenager on probation.
On November 19 at 4 p.m., Kirkland Lake OPP received a report from Legion Branch 87 regarding the theft of Remembrance Day poppies and money from a business on Government Road.
Zachary Frisen, 19, of Kirkland Lake was arrested and charged with:
- Theft under $5,000
- Fail to comply with a probation order
Frisen is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Kirkland Lake on January 9, 2025.
