Five police cruisers in Lakeshore takedown

Police conducted a vehicle stop in relation to a stolen vehicle and operation while impaired

There was a heavy police response in the Ferris area last night that resulted in one arrest.

Five marked cruisers were at the Marshall Park Drive strip mall around 8:30 where they boxed in a silver SUV.

A police spokesman told BayToday that police conducted a vehicle stop in relation to a stolen vehicle and operation while impaired.

A 22-year-old man was charged with:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Theft over $5,000
  • Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

The man's name was not released.

Police say a full media release will be provided in the coming days.
