Police are currently investigating an assault in the West Ferris section of the City that happened early this morning.
At 4:30 a.m. police received a report of a man with serious injuries seen in the 100 block of Lovell Avenue between Lakeshore Drive and Karla Drive.
Police, Fire, and Paramedic Services arrived and the victim was rushed to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Police say they are investigating this incident as an assault. At this time, no arrests have been made.
"Police do not believe there is an immediate threat to public safety, but encourage the public to practice caution and heightened awareness until an arrest is made," says a release.
Anyone with additional information including security camera or dash cam footage from the area of Lovell Avenue, Lakeshore Drive, and Karla Drive between 3 and 6 a.m. is asked to contact the North Bay Police Service.
