A woman described as "highly intoxicated" was arrested in Elliot Lake after breaking into a neighbour's apartment and threatening the resident and their dog.

On November 23 at 10:30 p.m., East Algoma OPP officers were called to an apartment concerning a violent neighbour dispute.

The complainant reported that their female neighbour was highly intoxicated and acting extremely irrationally.

"The female broke open the complainant's door, entered the apartment, assaulted the complainant, and choked their dog.," says A/Sgt. Phil Young. "The dog was eventually let go and the female threatened to kill it and the complainant. The female then proceeded to break three windows at the complainant's apartment and assault another person inside."

Police arrived and arrested the woman who was also "very uncooperative" with police.
