Cops nab LCBO thief

Officers from the Huntsville Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to thefts at the Huntsville LCBO location on February 14, and 24.

Police saw the suspect after the theft on February 24, and conducted a traffic stop on a suspected vehicle leaving the LCBO. A male passenger was arrested and charged.

Adam Yearley, 44, of Huntsville is charged with shoplifting, two counts of theft under $5,000.

The accused is to appear on April 7 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge.

Canadian retailers saw a staggering $9.1 billion in lost revenue in 2024 due to shoplifting, according to the Retail Council of Canada.
