Cops arrest two for thefts; seek ID of male suspect

Police are seeking to identify a male suspect — seen in these remarkably clear security camera photos — after arresting and charging two female suspects in the same multiple North Bay thefts

NBPS is seeking to identify this suspect in recent thefts in North Bay.

The North Bay Police Service arrested and charged two 29-year-old women for multiple local thefts and are seeking the public's help to identify a male suspect.

The accused in this incident are:

Shawna Alexia Harmon, female, age 29, of Toronto, Ont., who is charged with:

  • Theft under $5,000 x4

Monika Cindy Lankocz, female, age 29, of Bonfield, Ont., who is charged with:

  • Theft under $5,000 x2

Police say on Jan. 10, 2025, at approximately 6:45 p.m. the accused Harmon and a male suspect entered a business on Algonquin Avenue and stole over $1,000 worth of items.

On Jan. 11, 2025, at approximately noon, police say the two accused and a male suspect attended the parking garage of Northgate Shopping Centre and stole a PlayStation 5 gaming console from a victim as he attempted to load the item into his vehicle.

Later that same day, police say Harmon and the male suspect returned to the Algonquin Avenue business they had attended on Jan. 10 and stole approximately $250 worth of items.

Officers attended the area and located accused Harmon in the parking lot where she was arrested and charged.

On Jan. 12, 2025, officers located accused Lankocz at a gas station on Seymour Street in North Bay, where she was arrested and charged.

The two accused in this incident were held in custody pending a bail hearing at the North Bay Courthouse.

Anyone with information that can lead to the identification or location of the suspect, including security camera footage or dash camera footage around the time of the incident from the areas of the 1500 block of Fisher Street or the 1700 block of Algonquin Avenue in North Bay, is asked to contact the North
