Cogeco Your TV says it will host mayoral debates for North Bay and Callander areas in the weeks preceding the Monday, October 24 municipal election.

There will be no live audience in the studio, however, Manager Joey Roussy says the public is invited to submit questions via the Facebook page. Questions from people in the community are also being solicited.

The debates will be available on the Cogeco local cable channel and also live-streamed on Facebook.

The North Bay mayoral debate is set for Sept. 29, 7 - 8:30 p.m.

Three candidates are running, Leslie McVeety, Peter Chirico and Johanne Brousseau.

Cogeco normally partners with the local Chamber of Commerce to put on the debates but will not do so this time. Chirico is presently president of the Chamber.

The group is presently in the planning stages of a councillor candidate meet and greet, says Executive Director Sue Adams. It will be held Oct. 6 at the Grande Event Centre.
