North Bay Mazda is known for supporting good causes. They are a local business that is proud to contribute to the community that supports them.
The dealership stood as the title sponsor at Yes Employment Services’ 20th Annual YTTF Golf Tournament in their latest efforts to build community and give back close to home.
On Thursday, September 12th, several teams of eager golfers gathered at the beautiful Highview Golf Course in Powassan, Ontario.
The event was held to raise money for the Yes Training Trust Fund, which supports the development of the local workforce. The fund empowers individuals through education and skill development, helping to create brighter futures.
Four staff members from the dealership took part in the tournament, and just shy of 100 golfers were in attendance that day. This marked the second year North Bay Mazda was involved.
While the final total raised hasn’t been tallied yet, the money will certainly have a significant impact.
Patrick Shaw, Managing Partner, says, “The funds are used to assist young people who need help with their career or who are beginning in a new field. This can be anything from mandatory clothing/PPE, to a specific type of training that would add to their resume.”
“Getting young people out into the workforce should be important to everybody. We have done several job placements through YES Employment Services that have turned out to be very successful.”
Shaw wants to shout out the wonderful team at the Highview Golf Course for hosting the event and the hardworking individuals at Yes Employment Services who put in the time and effort to organize the tournament.
