West Ferris Peewee's win South River tourney

The West Ferris Big Brothers Peewee "A" team captured top honours this past weekend in the AMHA Tournament in South River.


The West Ferris Big Brothers Peewee "A" team captured top honours this past weekend in the AMHA Tournament in South River. In their first game the locals defeated North Muskoka by a score of 5-2, with goals being scored by Andrew Gerolami, Derek Dinezza, Raymond Major, Ryan Robertson and Anthony Celebre. Big brothers then defeated the host team Almaguin by a score of 9-1 with goals being scored by Chad Butler (5), Ryan Robertson (2), James Priolo and Anthony Celebre.

The championship game against East Nipissing ended in a 1-1 tie after regulation time. James Priolo scored the lone West Ferris goal in regulation but Darren Palmer was the overtime hero to give them a 2-1 overtime victory in the tournament championship.
