Trappers unbeaten streak hits 24

The North Bay & District Major Midget AAA Trappers built up a 1-0 first period lead and then took off from their in a 7-0 victory over the New Liskeard Cubs.  

Jack Stockfish and Zachary Lefebvre led the offence with two goals each.  Singles went to Battalion prospect Jesse Kirkby, Deric Charbonneau, and Justin Dauphinais.  

Battalion prospect Reece Proulx recorded the shutout, which breaks the league's shutout record for one season.  

The win improves the first place Trappers flawless Great North Midget League record to 24-0. 

The Trappers will finish off the new year with a contest against the Kapuskasing Flyers on Saturday night at Memorial Gardens.  Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m.
