The North Bay Major Midget AAA Trappers are looking for some redemption starting tonight.

The Trappers start the best-of-five Great North Midget League final tonight when they host the Sudbury Nickel Capital Wolves in a rematch of last year’s final.

Last season the Wolves captured the Great North Midget League crown winning game five on Memorial Gardens ice.

That loss will be on the minds of the Trappers as they travel to Temiscaming's Le Centre, to host Game one of the series.

The Midget AAA team is forced to head to Quebec to host a game due to the fact that Memorial Gardens will not be available as city crews begin to work on the renovations required as the hockey rink is transformed into a curling venue for the 2018 Ford Women’s World Curling Championships which begin in March 17th.

The Trappers swept through the semi-finals by beating the Timmins Major in three straight.

Trappers forward and Sarnia Sting prospect Cole Craft leads all playoff scorers with 3 goals and 6 assists for 9 points in three playoff games.

Battalion pick Nick Davis, who was the GNML regular season scoring champions close behind 1 goal and 6 assists totaling 7 points, while another Battalion pick, Tye Lindeman, is third in playoff scoring with 7 assists in 3 games.

Game two of the series will revert back to Countryside arena in Sudbury for a 3 p.m. puck drop.
